Chris Vogel celebrates 44 years in the Grocery industry that began as a courtesy clerk bagging groceries at a Basha’s store in Scottsdale. He has held positions within several different segments of the business: three different distributors, a brokerage firm, two manufacturers, two conventional retailers (in store) and finally at Sunflower/Sprouts (Support office). The exciting development of innovative better-for-you food products in recent years led Chris to his current role on the Forager Team. For Chris, the best part of working for Sprouts has been bringing that innovation to customers and helping smaller companies achieve their potential. Mostly an Arizona native, Chris’ family moved here from the Midwest when he was five years old, with only a few years spent out of state. Now much of the free time for him and his wife Peggy are spent with family, including five grandchildren, or traveling.
