Don Clark is the Global Vice President of Merchandising at Whole Foods Market for Non-Perishables, joining the company in November 2015, with responsibility for Center Store Grocery, Whole Body, Specialty, Exclusive Brands (Private Label), Merchandising Operations, Data and Analytics, and the coffee company Allegro. Don is leading the evolution of Whole Foods Market’s merchandising operating model, moving from a decentralized, regionally based structure to a more centralized, hybrid model and building robust customer-centric, data-rich category management capabilities.
Prior to Whole Foods Market, Don spent 14 years at Target Corporation in Merchandising with buying roles in Electronics and OTC Healthcare and leadership roles in Business Partnership & Negotiations, Pharmacy, Merchandise Planning, Target India Merchandise Operations, Healthcare evolution, and Perishables & Food Service. Prior to Target, Don had built and led a cleaning service company for 8 years, selling the company in January of 2011.
Don attended Brigham Young University and the University of Minnesota earning a BS degree in Business Administration and an MBA in Marketing.
Don has been married for 24 years to Cindy Sherwood Clark. Together they have 4 children. Don enjoys spending time with his family, training for and competing in triathlons, fly fishing, and the outdoors.
